GW RIMS Film Screening of ZER

The Research on Multination States (RIMS) Project at the Elliott School of International Affairs, in partnership with the American Kurdish Information Network (AKIN), presented “ZER” by award-winning Kurdish filmmaker Kazim Öz. There was a reception at 7:00pm  which was followed by the film screening at 7:30pm.

ZER distills the complex history of Kurdistan through the lens of a timeless love story. Set in the Kurdish province of Dersim, the film captures the epic proportions of the Kurdish tragedy at an intimate and human scale. RIMS was pleased to host the award-winning Kurdish filmmaker Karim Öz who discussed the film after the screening with Kani Xulam, director of the American Kurdish Information Network.

The film was a part of the RIMS program at the Elliott School and co-hosted by the American Kurdish Information Network (AKIN).
